Ich habe bei Pan-Global Plants diese Pflanze bestelt:
Schima aff. argentea NJM 13.042 (new)
A recent collection from Manipur, NE India, which appears to fit this species, with evergreen leathery foliage, tapered at both ends and glaucous below. The golden centred white flowers are like small camellias and are produced in late summer and early autumn. Schima argentea is proven hardy to at least -18c in the UK and makes a large upright shrub.

Aber ich vermute, du bist der erste hier, der es mit dieser Pflanze versucht.

- 18°C dürfte in UK wohl der Tieftemperatur Rekord sein. Ich bin bei solchen Angaben immer höchst skeptisch. Auch Dicksonia antarctica habe ich schon mit hardy bis -17°C angegeben gesehen. In der Gartenwirklichkeit sind es wohl eher -5°C. Ich wünsch dir aber trotzdem viel Freude mit dem seltenen Schatz !

Ist leider tot, hatte Rindenplatzer. Nicht die Kälte.
