Baptisa australis auch in diesem Fall ist Jurakalksplitt entscheidend und Schneckenkorn um wirklich gute Blüten zu bekommen.

Wie nah lässt Du Gras bzw. Beiwuchs a. an die Iris, mulchst du um die rum, mit Split oder so; b. an die Pfingstrosen?
In meiner wüsten Wiese hätte ich noch sonnige Plätze und grad eine gelbe Pfingstrose bestellt und "Mairegen"Rhizome noch über. Ich hoffe die Frage ist in dem Faden in Ordnung.

wie in jedem Garten jeder hat, habe ich für Pflanzen Pflanzungen. :D Die hatten ursprünglich die Größe 2 x 2 m. Also das ist das Grundelement und manche Pflanzungen bestehen aus 3 oder 4 oder mehr oder weniger dieser Quadrate, ich nenn die Quartiere. Seit 2005 habe ich verschiedene Techniken entwickelt, die meine Resourcen brücksichtigen und die des Standortes und der Pflanzen.

Immer habe ich Mulchen wesentlich gefunden und nach jedem Jätegang eimerweise Splitt verteilt. Die Basis ist Rheinkieselplitt Körnung 5/8. Ich hab aber mit allen Arten Splitt experimentiert. Seit 5 oder 10 Jahren bietet das Kieswerk hier am Neckar Jurakalksplitt an und die Päonien und Schwertlilien sind abhängig davon. Seit ich den verwende, wachsen die und blühen auch.

Zwischen den Quartieren wird gemäht. Drumrum auch. Ich schätze mal, dass es 1000 qm sind und 500 qm sind inzwischen bepflanzt. Rechts und links von dem Wiesenstück, das wir nutzen gibt es Weideflächen und da stehen Schafe drauf. Apfelbaumfreie Flächen werden als Heuwiesen genutzt.
