wer hat Erfahrungen mit dem Erdbeerbaum Arbutus unedo?lässt er sich leicht aus Samen ziehen? und was muss dabei beachtet werden?

Bei mir hats mit selbstgesammelten Samen aus dem Tessin gut geklappt. Ich hab sie einfach im März ausgesät und nach draussen gestellt. Leider sind die Pflänzchen im Winter 2012 erfrohren.

Ich habe Arbutus unedo zwei mal gesät. Erste mal hat es geklappt, zweite mal nicht. Vielleicht war das zweite Mal der Qualität von das gekauftes Sat nicht gut.Wie ich es getan habe (auf English):Sow on the surface of a moist but not wet peaty sowing mixture. Do not cover the seeds as most members of the Ericaceae germinate better with light. Put the pot in a plastic bag and place in the fridge at 4 - 6 degrees Celsius for 60 to 90 days (= cold moist stratification). After this period place somewhere warm (15 - 18 degrees) and you should get some germination after 15-30 days. Germination rate is dependant upon the quality of the seeds.
