Vernonia crinita und Calamagrostis 'Karl Foerster' vor Miscanthus 'Grazillimus'. Karl Foerster tut es auf Dauer mit dieser Trockenheit nicht gut.

mehr Hummeln auf Vitex agnus-castus. Bei vehementen Bienenschützern, also Wildbienenschützern, sind ja ausländische Pflanzen verpönt. Unsere Wildbienen sind aber nicht rassistisch, die mögen auch Vitex und Caryopteris sehr, sehr gerne.

Tolle Dokumentation und schöne Bilder. Gracillimus (und Morning Light) gehören aufgrund ihrer eleganten Form auch zu meinem Lieblingsmiscanthus.

Hummeln sind polylektische Wildbienen, die polylektischsten, die ich kenne glaube ich, sie haben kaum Präferenzen bezüglich ihrer Sammelpflanzen. Wobei das auch logisch ist, sie fliegen vom zeitigen Frühjahr bis zum späten Herbst. Die 30 % ? oligolektischer Bienenarten sind eben auf einheimische Pflanzen angewiesen. Junior (Diplom-Ingenieur ::)) sagt immer, wie blöd sind die denn, müssen sich nicht wundern, wenn sie aussterben? Tja das ist wohl Biologie und hat sich durch Nutzung von ökologischen Nischen so entwickelt, oder?
Der schönste Garten ist der, der kurz vor dem Verwildern steht.

Miscanthus 'Gracillimus' ist in der Tat herrlich, ich überlege, wo ich hier im Garten auch noch einen unterbringen kann ('Morning Light' habe ich im Frühjahr gepflanzt, er macht sich schon ganz gut). Das leuchtende Blau von Mönchspfeffer und Bartblumen macht große Freude, und ich staune immer, wie Du es schaffst, im Wiesengarten auch Pflanzen, die nicht so gerne bedrängt werden (wie z. B. die Iris), von Bewuchs freizuhalten.
