. auf der bestimmt jahrhunderte alten hohen Trockenmauer wächst Forsythia giraldiana und hält den Schatten der alten Eiche und es alten Haselbusches aus. . . Für Bart-Iris sind Mauerkronen eher nichts. Die historischen Sorten wachsen an den Hängen unter alten Burgen, aber auch nur im Jura. Die modernen Sorten werden von den Züchtern in Frankreich mit viel Kompost verwöhnt und auf kalkreichem Lehm kultiviert.

weiter oben im Garten wird dann alles blau. Nur Panicum 'Cloud Nine' und 'Northwind' sieht man an, dass sie letztes Jahr und dieses Jahr in der entscheidenden Wachstumsperiode zu trocken standen. . Cloud Nine steht rechts neben den Crocosmia 'Lucifer' in der Bildmitte und müsste doppelt so hoch sein.

Das waren herrliche Zeiten ohne Überforderung, es gab zwei, drei Rote, je 1x weiß und rosa, Ende. Als es dann losging wurde es gleich so brutal viel, dass ich sofort kapituliert habe. Wahrscheinlich ist das falsch, mit den Sanguisorba gehts mir indes aber genauso.
exakt! Nix geht über Sanguisorba officinalis! In trockenen Jahren bleibt sie weg, in regenreichen ist sie wieder da.

so, heute morgen wieder aufgebrochen um Erde für eine neue Iris-Pflanzung umzubrechen. Am Mittag nach 4 Stunden mussten wir abbrechen. Der nächste Teil kommt später. .
