Polystichum tsus-simense ist bei mir sehr trockenheitsverträglich, steht an 2 Stellen, wo eigentlich fast gar nicht gegossen wird.
Ist - wahrscheinlich auch deshalb - aber längst nicht so üppig wie der von Hans-Herbert :-\

Meiner steht in einer recht feuchten Ecke, auch noch neben dem Kompost. Dieses Jahr hat er sich regelrecht verdoppelt, was mit Sicherheit auch an dem nassen Herbst liegen dürfte.

Wo bestellt ihr diese Farne? Ich finde keine Quelle, zb Bevis, Party, immer nicht erhältlich.

Ich kaufe meine Farne überwiegend bei Stauden Junge, s. https://www.bluetenblatt.de/search?search=farne. Herr Danielsen ist einer der Farnexperten in Deutschland. Dass nicht alle Farne jederzeit verfügbar sind, ist einfach so. Auch bei Kirschenlohr (https://shop.stauden-kirschenlohr.de/shop/farne/372166.html) habe ich schon das eine oder andere Schätzchen gefunden. Herr van Driel ist leider im Ruhestand.

Polystichum setiferum 'Baldwinii' vom Hessenhof vor Jahren. Einmal umgepflanzt und wird immer prächtiger.

im Wiesengarten profitieren die Schildfarne von dem vielen Regen den ganzen Winter über bis jetzt. Der erste wirklich sonnige und warme Tag.

Polystichum x dycei Dyces Schildfarn ist eine gärtnerische Kreuzung des australischen Polystichum proliferum mit der Art Polystichum braunii. Brauns Schildfarn ist auf der Nordhalbkugel in Europa, Asien und Nordamerika verbreitet.

Der Glanz kommt hin, die dunkle Farbe, die Borsten und die Form der Austriebe auch. :D
Was mich wundert: der ist doch wintergrün? Auf deinem Foto siehts aber aus, als ob das alles neue, grad austreibende Wedel seien. Hast du die alten, grünen Wedel entfernt?
