Ist Veronicastrum über Wurzelschnittlinge vermehrbar? ??? Zumindest fielen mir bei der Teilung von 'Goldie' heute diese hier in die Hände.

Manhatten Skyline ist abgeblüht und steht immer noch gut auf starken Stängeln. Das hat sie für den Namen qualifiziert. Die Veronicastrums im Hermannshof werden hier vorgestellt und gut beschrieben.

Veronicastrum saccalinense hatte ich auch vom Hermannshof. Blüht im 2. Jahr und weil er im ersten Unterstützung brauchte, habe ich ihm ein Gerüst verpasst. Das hatte ich übrig, weil ich mich von der Illusion verabschiedet habe ich könne Duftwicken erfolgreich kultivieren.

Beide haben dieses klare Blau, das ich liebe.

Veronicastrum sibiricum subsp. japonicum `Okamoto´ ist eine ganz andere Klasse. Etwas blass, aber viel mehr Farbe pro grüner Blattmasse. Außerdem sehr lässig. Die Triebe musste ich schon vor der Blüte alle ins Gerüst zwingen und darauf achten, dass sie nicht wieder rausflutschen. Sie liegen gerne bodeneben rum. Achtsam aufgebunden sind sie ein schöner Anblick.

Wenns denn mal wo gibt... Allerdings haben die Pflanzen bei der Sichtung nicht diese aufrechten Blütenstände! Oder neigen sie sich möglicherweise noch?

Dieser bisher meist eher nicht zu trockene Sommer gefällt mir ja wirklich, den hiesigen Kandelabern offensichtlich auch! Stehen so proper wie noch nie da und auch die, die Durststrecken durchaus abkönnen scheinen dennoch dankbar. Nur diese `Kobaltkaars´ wächst nicht über sich raus und bleibt bei ihrem Dümpelwuchs auf ca. Kniehöhe. Habe ich so 2016 gepflanzt.

Okamoto kann, muss aber nicht so schräg. Ich erwähnte, dass ich den gestäbt habe? Und dezent mit Kordel wieder in die Reihe gebunden? Zwischen 4 Moniereisenstangen.

Meine 'Manhattan Skyline' ist leider nicht gekommen, warum, weiß ich nicht. Ich werde im Herbst aber Ersatz bestellen. Tolle Bilder!
